Jos Court Frees 15 IMN members, 32 Still Detained

A magistrate court in Jos has pronounce the release of 15 members of the Islamic movement in Nigeria who where detained in Jos on Wednesday, 12 October, 2016 while commemorating the Annual day of Ashura. 13 among the 15 children were said to be under the age of 17.
The presiding Judge, Talatu H. Shima Esq (SDJ) gave the order after meeting the bail conditions. The development came up after they have been detained for 23 consecutive days at the 'A Division' of the Nigerian Police Force while they injured were kept at the Plateau State Criminal Investigation Department (CID), all in Jos.

The detainees were said to have reach their various homes after a feast at Sheikh Adamu Tsoho's residence on Friday evening. However, the leadership of the movement in Jos has expressed dismay over the continued detention of its other members. Hafiza Bashir, 14 was among the detainees who regain freedom but was still disillusioned finding out that her mother is still under detention. Also, Khalisa M. Kabir and Fatima M. Kabir were still gloomy because their mother, Malama Karima is still under detention.

The leadership of the movement have express deep concern, saying that 32 of their members are still in Prison, which includes a heavy pregnant mother and 2 nursing mothers.
