"And part of the plot mentions that they would ban the Islamic
Movement. Once I heard their plot to ban the Islamic movement, I
realised that the plot is foreign. It isn’t home-made. Because locally
here, the Nigerian security force and Nigerian press refer to us as
Shiites or Shia sect. However, CIA and MOSSAD call us Islamic Movement
in Nigeria, and they even coined IMN to refer to us.
"We often refer to ourselves as Islamic Movement, but is not an organization. It is a concept, a movement, a struggle – and that is the meaning of movement. Haraka in Arabic. Thus if you ban movement, it will mean we all remain silent without any form of motion. Because to us, any form of motion we carry out is what we take to be Islamic movement. When we meet, it is Islamic Movement. Even this gathering is Islamic Movement. So also the prayers we do is all movement. Thus, to us Islamic struggle means we put it to practice. Although we say Islamic Movement, it is not an organisation. It is Harka, struggle, movement – Islamic.

"If you say you ban this, it means nothing will be done, not even
prayers would be offered because of the ban. Now the government wants to
ban this. And you know when it bans the Movement, the Nigerian press
will say “Shiite sect has been banned!” While even in their laws,
everyone has the right to practice the religion he likes.
"Banning the Movement will mean that nothing can be done, not only the Quds will be stopped, but also Ashura, Maulid, gatherings and in fact, even in one’s house, one cannot recite the Qur’an! It is banned! Even the prayers we tell people to do cannot be done because of the ban, because all these will be Movement to us. It is a concept to us and not an organisation.
"But what they are imagining is that the Movement will be banned, that it is a terrorist organization. Then they will clampdown on its members in what they call an all-out war. This will be completed before the symbolic trek. And we have started seeing signs of such steps. But, they do theirs while we do ours. Will we ever stop what we are doing? Now it is left to them whether or not they want to carry out their plots. That is their business. In sha Allah.
"Their only weapon is just one, and what is that? “Killings” (in Chorus). Only guns to shoot! Not more than that. They think of nothing else beyond that they have guns and they would shoot. That is all. Nothing else."
